The ARCP and ARHP
do not support the environment with firewall. Using the software listed
below, performance of the voice communication through the KNS was
tested.
(We basically made the test by using the software sold in Japan
)
Note:
- The security level of the firewall software is more
fragile since TCP port opens.
- The user cannot make even the command
communications when the softwares are in the default setting.

Caution
applicable for both softwares:
It is impossible to make any
communications even if the configuration is made using the listed
software, but if the using OS does not support the voice
communications.
Cautions for Internet security:
- The user can connect to the KNS by changing the
setting.
- Run the ARCP after installing the software. Norton
Internet security alerts the user when he/she tries to connect to the
host via the KNS.
In this warning message box, you must select
"enable", otherwise you cannot connect to the KNS by selecting the
shutdown. To avoid the same warning message repeatedly appeared anymore,
click the "Always use the same process" checkbox, and then "OK" .
Cautions for Virus Buster:
- The user can connect to the KNS by changing the
setting of this software.
- By setting the security level of personal firewall
to "Medium" or "Low", the user may be able to use the KNS. (Refer to Here.)
- The help manual of the software has a description
that it is not recommenced to always set the security level to "Low"
since it is dangerous.
